We understand that our staff lead increasingly busy lifestyles, juggling both their position at Defcredit with outside commitments such as family, sport and relaxation. We support a healthy balance between these demands wherever possible. Staff are able to take advantage of:

  • Personal leave of 10 days a year (full-time entitlement) to assist in the recovery of personal illness / injury or to care for an immediate family or household member.
  • Part-time working hours depending on the business needs of the location/department.

Enjoying the job you do and the people you work with is integral to ensuring a high level of satisfaction. We support the concept that having fun is an important part of creating an ideal working environment.

We conduct regular Occupational Health and Safety Inspections to ensure that all our workplaces are safe and all staff can take advantage of an annual workplace flu vaccination.

  • GEM Awards our Going the Extra Mile reward program means each month two staff members are recognised and rewarded by the Executive Management Team for their efforts, receiving payment towards a celebratory meal and an extra day's leave.
  • Employee Candidate Referrals if a recommended candidate for a vacant position is successfully hired, the staff member is rewarded.
  • Life Event - receipt of a gift for major life events such as marriage or birth of a child.

Defcredit also actively supports our community with one day's paid leave available if staff are participating in raising funds for our chosen charity Defence Special Needs Support Group (DSNSG).
