Frequently asked questions

Q. How will I know when a bill has arrived?

A. When a bill has arrived, Defcredit will notify you of its arrival by a message on the 'Balances' screen on Defcredit Online Banking. Your biller may also send you an email advising that a bill has been presented.

Q. Will I still receive a paper bill?

A. Most billers will stop sending a paper bill as soon as you register and start receiving bills by BPAY View. However, some may still provide both for a period and a number of billers may be required by law to continue to also send paper bills.

Q. What if I want a paper copy of my bill?

A. If you need a paper copy of your bill, simply print a copy of your bill as seen on screen. If you require a separate paper copy for a specific, one-off purpose, you can contact the biller direct and request a copy. Some billers may charge for this service.

Q. Do I have to use BPAY to pay bills received through BPAY View?

A. No. BPAY View gives you the choice of using BPAY or any of the other payment methods that the biller provides. However if you are online, payment by BPAY is the quickest and most convenient method.
